Busy busy

I’ve been really busy as of late, sorry for the lack of posts. I had to revamp my design portfolio site.

I intend to change that, and I intend to change that today. Get ready.

Oh, and with the upgrade to WordPress 3, I’m debating adding a true photoblog section to the site. Should be interesting.

Pshaww… Hipsta, you crazy!

The Life

Congrats to my B-more boys on one of their Hipstamatic photos making it into Readymade’s “O.H. (Original Hipsta)” article yesterday.

As much as I hate to say it, I’ve officially been converted to being a fan of faux-lomo photos. You’ll see some of my own later today here, and on a new blog I’m snappin’ for sometimes.

Zebras show tonight

Zebras!!!

The Zebras are playing a show tonight with the Czarbles and Manic Zamboni at The Frequency. Rumor has it that this could be their only Madison, WI show (or show anywhere) for a very long time, and that’s a shame. They put on one of the best shows in town. I for one will miss seeing them every month or so if its true.

Del! and Bukue One free show March 27th!

Del The Funky Homosapien! at The High Noon Saloon (Madison, WI)

So, if anyone is still searching for something to do tomorrow night, Del the Funky Homosapien (above) and Bukue One are playing a free show at the Majestic Theatre with locals Rob DZ and Weapons of Mass Defunktion.

If you missed the show last May at The High Noon Saloon, here’s a recap from A.V. Club Madison and one from right here.

If you haven’t seen Bukue One (below) or Rob DZ before, I recommend you get there early. Hell, get there early anyway. It’s free and will probably fill up fast.

Bukue One at The High Noon Saloon (Madison, WI)

If you’ve never heard Del! or Bukue, do yourself a favor and download some of their music on Bandcamp for free.

Del’s Bandcamp (I suggest checkin’ out Funk Man as a good starting point.)

Bukue One’s Bandcamp (Laser Reyes Vol. 1 is great for dance parties!)

I guess I have a patent.

Mail bag clamp - I guess I invented this.

Sometimes Googling yourself can pan out some unexpected results.

In searching for my real, full, name – “Joseph Anderson Engle” – I realized that I invented a mail bag clamp 73 years before I was even born.

I can’t wait till I invent the time machine to get me there. I will be known as Joey Baltimore Esquire soon! bwahahahaha!

Mars Cheese Castle

Just found out that Mars Cheese Castle is going to be demolished.

Good thing is that they’re just moving a little way back to accommodate an I-94 ramp that is being built much bigger.

Really good thing is that their sign isn’t going to disappear.

Read more about it here or go see a bigger version of my photo on flickr.
